Louise Carroll established Louise Carroll Designs in January 2012, having worked with slate as a hobby for the previous two years.
Louise had always craved a career in Art and Craft and found her niche in 2009 when her husband Kieran suggested she buy a Sandblasting Cabinet to engrave Mirrors and Glass, but after some research she discovered that she could also use it to engrave Natural Slate. She loved this idea and shortly afterwards the equipment was bought and experimenting began. In 2010 Kieran converted the attic in their home into a Workshop and Louise works from here today.
Louise’s first sale was a Natural Slate Clock. She has since developed a wide range of products including Framed Slates, Wall Hangings, Slate Photo Frames, Bespoke Mirrors, Photo Frames, Glassware and Keepsake Prints. She gives careful attention to detail to each and every piece she works on and she ensures that every product that leaves the workshop is of the highest quality. Her love for her work shows in the finished articles.
Louise Carroll Designs are constantly evolving, developing new designs and ideas and always welcome new requests from customers. If you don’t see it on the website, don’t be afraid to ask!
